Our worship service starts at 10:30 am. The order of service reflects a harmonious balance of prayer, children’s time, Old and New Testament readings, the ministers message, and selections from the St. Andrew’s choir.

We all join together to sing hymns of praise – some older – and some newer ones -but each enriching the spiritual connection that St. Andrew’s offers to all who walk though our doors.

Throughout the church year, our Sunday morning worship might include unique recognition of the milestones that mark our journey as a faith community.

Baptisms, Communion, welcoming of new members, confirmation of faith, Mission and Service updates, and observances that reflect the changing seasons of the church calendar (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter etc.) are all part of “what we do” in our worship time together.

and afterwards … Linger Lunch

The welcome extends after the service as everyone is invited to “linger” downstairs in the gym for lunch. This light meal is quite affordable but if things are a bit tight, “PWYC” (pay what you can) – or simply be our guest!

Linger Lunch has long roots in our St. Andrew’s congregation. Originally started as a way for single people in the St. Andrew’s community to connect with others and for all to share friendship, our lunch table has become a parable of sorts as we welcome our downtown neighbours in need. In the Spirit of the Christ we are grateful for the opportunity to share this outreach and this time together. All are welcome!

Special Services

Our Advent evening Service of Lessons and Carols (photo left), in which candlelight alone illuminates the sanctuary, is an example of the many ways that we celebrate in worship.

Camp Sunday, Taize services, Christmas pageants, Good Friday passion plays, First Nations Sunday, and Remembrance Sunday are all meaningful ways that we give praise as thankful servants of the Holy Spirit.

We sometimes welcome special guests – musicians, drama groups, and community leaders – to participate with us in our Sunday mornings together.
